Cockatoo Island Excursuion and Plain Air Outing

On Saturday 3d July we are heading to Sydney for Plain Air and "Mystery Tour" excursion on the Cockatoo Island.
This is a suggested plan of the trip:

7.30am Leaving Wollongong
9.00am Arriving and Parking in the Domain Car Park
Walk through Botanic Garden to the Museum of Contemporary Arts
10.00am Ferry to Cockatoo Island (if full catch the next one at 10.30am)
11.00am Arriving to th Island
11.30am Joining "Mystery Tour"
12.30pm-2.30 Picnic and Plain Air Session
3pm Leaving the Island

Art classes in 2010

Studio will commence classes from 30th January 2010.

1st group (for 5-8 years old children only)
9am-10.30am

2nd group (for 9-13 years old children only)
11am-1pm

Siblings could be placed in the same time slot determined by tutor and depending on ability (Please note that activities in different groups are varied and tasks are designed with increased level of difficulty)

For young people of 13-16 years of age classes can be arranged depending on request and numbers.

“Vision of Gong” Mosaic-Ceramic Mural

Assemblage and Installation of the mural on Market Street Wall (boundary wall of Wollongong Public School between Kembla and Church Streets) will resume in January 2010 from Monday 18th (from 10am, meeting at Art Arena Gallery).

2009 - Term 1

This term we study how to paint with acrylics.
We learn how to use colour wheel, how to mix colours we invert colours. We also play with tertiary muddy colours and create paintings with no colour at all.

Timetable Term 1 2008

In this table you can oversee all our activities for the 1st Term 2008.
This term is going to be very exciting as we preparing for exhibition in the end of term.
Exhibition official opening day is 10th April at 6pm. We will need watercolours and watercolour brushes starting from March. I have received the quote from Levers shop, see attached.
Paper and printmaking materials are supplied by me, however kids will need to bring album, pencils and rubbers all the time.
